100% Whey Advanced Protein Lab Series by MuscleTech Review

Photo Taken by Joseph Valo III
MuscleTech came out with a new protein powder called 100% Whey Advanced a few months ago and I had the opportunity to test and review it. MuscleTech takes great pride in the taste and what they put in their product. What MuscleTech did was create a whole mew protein powder with the highest quality ingredients and pure protein.

What they also did was put BCAA's in with it and also Glutamine too. What that does is help and aid in the absorption of protein and help with recovery and to build lean muscle as well. This is great to take right after you are done with your work out and great with smoothies too.

This protein powder has 25 grams of protein, 5.6 grams of BCAA's , 4.4grams of Glutamine and Precursor per scoop. Also it is Banned Substance free as well as the serving size is 1 scoop.

I tested MuscleTech's Lab Series 100% Whey Advanced protein powder in the following categories, Taste. Mix, how much muscle I gained and also how the recovery was too. So let's get to it now.

The taste was really great and it tasted just like triple chocolate brownie and didn't have funky after taste as well. First, when I mixed it I tried several different ways too. I went and mixed it in a shaker cup with bottled water and there was no clumps and everything blended well. Then I tried it with vanilla soy milk and it still mixed well. I also tried it with the water in a glass and mixing it with a spoon and that worked to a certain point but I recommend that you use a shaker cup to mix it. Then for the ultimate test I went and made a triple chocolate peanut butter brownie smoothie and it passed with flying colors and tasted just like the real thing.

Since I have been taking the 100% Whey Advanced protein powder I have noticed a faster recovery because of the BCAA's and have gained about 4 pounds of lean muscle in about 4 weeks.

I also want to stress about reading the whole label and look at the indigence to see if you may be allergic to anything.

I would definitely recommend this protein powder to anyone who wants to gain lean muscle and a faster recovery. Also I would definitely recommend this to family and friends as well. I am completely satisfied with this supplement and will be buying it in the near future. You can find MuscleTech's Lab Series 100% Whey Advanced Protein Powder here.

Disclaimer: I got the said product to test and review and this review is of my unbiased opinion as well.

Fuel:One Rich Chocolate Isolate Build Review

Earlier this year I did a review on the Fuel:One Isolate Build. I got the the Fuel:One Isolate Build Rich Chocolate flavor a month ago and it has been a while since I did a protein review too. So this is a perfect time to do one. So I'm reviewing the Fuel:One Isolate Build Rich Chocolate flavor. Fuel:One has been out for just about a year and the product line has came a long way since Fuel:One has came out with this product line! I have tried a lot of different companies and I can tell you this, that Fuel:One takes great pride in their products, and use the highest quality products in their supplements.

When it comes down to choosing the right protein supplement there are a lot of things to consider like; does it taste good, does it mix good with a shaker cup, what are the ingredients in it and how much ingredients is in there, and are you allergic to anything in it and what kind of protein is in there as well.

This is some of the ingredients that Fuel:One has in their Isolate Build protein powder.

Isolate Build is 100% pure protein isolate. 20 grams of 4 different protein isolates (Hydrolyzed Beef Protein Isolate, 97% Whey Protein Isolate, Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate) branch chain amino acids,leucine and glutamine0 grams of fat and 0 grams of sugar to round things out. Also has a rapid amino acid absorption which is really awesome because you can take this right after you work out and your body can absorb the amino acids a lot quicker as well.

When I opened up the container it smelled great and when I mixed it in a blender for a smoothie it mixed really great and when I tried it in a shaker cup it still had clumps of the unmixed protein powder. This protein powder tasted ok but you can add things like strawberries and or peanut butter and yogurt to boost the amount of protein and make it taste better. What I really like about this product is that it's free of any banned substances.

Pros: This product has everything that you need to pack on muscle. Has a multi blend of different proteins. Has the BCAA's in it as well. It's free of banned substances too.
Best mixes in a blender, but mixes well in a shaker cup.

Cons:  Read the ingredients and full label to see if you are allergic to anything in the product. And Has hydrolyzed beef protein and may not be for you if you are a vegetarian.

I would recommend this amazing product to family and friends that are not allergic to milk, soy, and is not a vegetarian. This product you can find on their website http://www.fuelone.com/ and you can find other Fuel:One supplements and multivitamins at GNC as well.

Shop All Vitamins & Health Supplements at GNC.com!

In conclusion, this supplement is great and does what it says too. I see alot of great and amazing things for Fuel:One in the future.

Until next time, Pay it forward and remember to read the whole label before using the product!

Protein Review: ISOLATE BUILD by Fuel:One

Joseph Valo III Its time again for another protein review and this time it's Isolate Build from Fuel:One a new brand that is sold at www.gnc.com and in the stores.

Isolate Build is 100% pure protein isolate. 0grams of fat and 0grams of sugar 20grams of 4 different protein isolates (Hydrolyzed Beef Protein Isolate, 97% Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate, Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Isolate) branch chain amino acids, glutamine, and leucine.

Isolate Build comes in 2 different flavors (Vanilla Caramel, Rich Chocolate) my favorite is the Vanilla Caramel. It tastes just like it says, and it has natural flavors.

I have been using this for about 2 weeks and I noticed a big difference. I gained 4 pounds, noticed that my muscles got bigger as well.
The Isolate Build is easy to blend. And is easy on the stomach. I take this between meals, before and after workouts as well.

I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. You definitely get what you pay for with this product. The retail price for this product $79.99 at gnc. If you have the gold card its $69.99.

As with anything you must read the whole label before using any product or supplement.

Phase 8 Protein Review!

Joseph Valo III
I find that having a great protein supplement in your diet is the key to keeping your body in an anabolic state where you are always gaining. So with that in mind when you go and get that protein powder or supplement do your research and read those reviews, because they will help you better understand the product.

Recently, I got the Vanilla and Milk Chocolate to sample and review as a part of the MuscleTech field test team. I was very excited because I never got to try any product like this before. They both smelled and tasted great which I had expected from previous MuscleTech products. I decided to mix them both in a glass of water to give it the real test. It mixed very well with no clumping of the protein powder.

What I love about the Phase 8 Protein powder is that it has 6 different proteins and amino acids as well. Also it has an 8 hour digestion rate as well so you are getting the constant supply of protein that your body needs. The Phase 8 Protein goes great with the Clear Muscle as well. With this product you can keep you body in the anabolic state it needs to be in to gain the muscle that you want.

I would definitely recommend this protein supplement to a friend and or a family member.
You can find out more about this product and more supplements at www.muscletech.com As with anything make sure to do your research and read the label.

Lets talk about Weight Gainers

Joseph Valo III
Photo from www.iherb.com
When a lot of people start to bulk up and want to increase their muscle mass, they sometimes forget to use a weight gainer due to either lack of knowledge, inexperience, or they think a protein powder is enough. Creatine will help you to bulk up and add size to your muscles, but what about feeding your muscles to make them grow. A lot of people also think or have this mind frame that while working out and lifting weights you are making your muscles grow. But all we are really doing is pumping up the muscles by the exercises that help break down the muscles. The real magic of muscle building happens while we sleep. and the post work out supplements and the other supplements that we take throughout the day help feed our muscles and aid them in the recovery.

You might be asking yourself, why did I go off on this tangent? Well, here's the method to my madness... LOL  In order to bulk up and add size to your muscles you need the right amount of exercise, rest and sleep, protein, calories, bcaa's, creatine and so on. But the main thing to remember is to get enough sleep at night, if you can eat 6 times a day( 3 moderate sized meals with 3 snacks in between the meals like fruit nuts or even a protein shake.) if not, you can take a meal replacement supplement instead for one of the meals.

Photo from www.iherb.com
Weight gainers give you the extra added protein, calories, and bcaa's that your muscles need to grow. I wouldn't recommend taking a weight gainer when you are trying to loose weight. But you should take a protein as well so you don't loose any muscle. As with anything you must do your research to see what all is out there and also to see if there is anything in the product that you may be allergic to. Reading the whole entire label is a must, there you will find out how to take the supplement, what all is in the product and if there are any special warnings. In conclusion, I hope this has helped inform you a little bit about weight gainers.

Reviewing Muscle Juice Revolution 2600 Platinum Series from Ultimate Nutrition

Joseph Valo III
Photo from http://www.a1supplements.com/
I was on A1 Supplements looking at their selection of protein powders and I came across Muscle Juice Revolution 2600 Platinum Series from Ultimate Nutrition. I read the reviews and all about the product and decided to give it a try. The list price is $89.99 and I got on sale for $51.95. It comes in a 11 pound container which is HUGE! compared to a 2.5 or a 5 pound container. It also comes in 5 different flavors: vanilla, chocolate, banana, cookies $ cream and strawberry.

I personally recommend the vanilla because you can use it as a base for all types of smoothies. Now lets get to the good parts...  by its self it has 56g of protein, mixed with 2% milk it has 74g of protein. It has all of the omegas and everything else. Here is a link to their page so you can check it out further http://www.ultimatenutrition.com/ and here's the link for A1 Supplements. http://www.a1supplements.com/

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone, but make sure you do your research first to make sure that you are not allergic to anything in the product. While working out, bulking up and loosing weight your body needs protein period. You can get your protein in many different ways like; supplements, the food we eat like meat, fish and poultry. Or through different kinds of vegetables and nuts. Sounds kind of strange, huh. But you can. Do some research and you will see.

Shopping for Health and Wellness Supplements on Black Friday

Joseph Valo III It's been a little while since I last blogged... So here we go!!

Shopping for Health and Wellness supplements can be a little tricky if you don't know what you are looking for. You can be enticed by the different specials and the low, low prices. My suggestion would be is to do your research and ask around the gym for some reviews on what different people are using. I admit, it can be a little confusing if you don't know what you are looking for. So, doing the research is a key part.

There are many different websites and stores that offer deals. It's your choice if you go to either one and or both. Personally, I like the online stores the best because they have offers that you cannot find in the stores like: free shipping, very low prices, and better deals. besides, I don't like to wait in lines only to be told that they are sold out or deal with the crazy ones over the last item.. LOL...

Here are a few links to the online stores..

http://www.prosource.net/
http://www.nutritionexpress.com/
http://www.a1supplements.com/
http://www.muscleandstrength.com/store/

My favoured one is is A1 Supplements.. They have every thing you would ever need. And they have explanations on what it is and what it is used for..

Just remember, that staying focused you can be doing what you only dreamed of. Until next time.. Stay Focused, Stay Sharp and continue to set goals even if from day to day. And you will be amazed..

Let's talk about Protein!!!

Joseph Valo III
 PROTEIN!! PROTEIN!!

Well.. everyone knows that if you want to put on muscle you need to eat protein and or drink protein shakes..  Choosing the right protein for what you want to do whether it's gaining muscle mass, loosing weight or just for maintenance purposes.. there are a lot of kinds out there to choose from.

The thing to watch for with soy protein is that is has plant estrogen in it and can possibly raise the estrogen levels. but you can take an estrogen blocker to reduce the levels too which is important if you are taking a testosterone booster. But I will talk about that later on..

Here is a link to a site that has 7 kinds of protein and a description.

 http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/protein-types-best-for-you.htm

Through my experience in loosing weight and bulking up is go with whey protein that has Leucine with it. Here is a link that explains what it is and what it is used for.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leucine .  When I'm on a high protein diet I consume a gram of protein per pound. For example... I weigh 185lbs. so I need to consume 185 grams of protein per day. But since I'm a vegetarian I need to have a little more.

Here are some other links that can help you out too...
http://www.menshealth.com/supplements/articles/The_Protein-Powder_Primer.php
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodybuilding_supplement#Protein_shake
http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-and-supplements/lifestyle-guide-11/protein-powder

Word of advice..  before you just go out and buy some protein powder do some research on what you want to get. Some key things to look for.. Type of Protein, BCAA's, other ingreadents. and READ THE WHOLE LABEL on the product.. This is very important..

Until next time..  Keep focused and great things will come...
